Wohl Associates was founded on hard work and the American Dream. Our founder, David S. Wohl, immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of 17. He began his career as an apprentice to an experienced machinery dealer after a chance meeting at the hotel where David had been working. When his mentor passed away in 1968, David set out on his own, founding Wohl Associates with the dream of building something he could one day pass on to his family.
That dream took shape when his son Andrew Wohl joined the company straight out of college. Andrew worked his way up to lead the business as president, spending decades growing Wohl Associates into a trusted name across the packaging and processing industries. He built his reputation on deep machine knowledge, straight talk, and a dedication to passing that expertise on to the team.
In September 2025, Andrew passed the business to Matt Evans, and Wohl Associates became Wohl Industries. Matt brings a career of leading companies and using technology to improve the customer experience. For Matt, stepping into Wohl is the next chapter of his own American Dream, and a chance to carry forward what David and Andrew built. Andrew continues as a trusted advisor, working alongside the experienced team that has long been the heart of the company.
What hasn’t changed: the expertise, hard work, and industry knowledge built over more than 50 years. What’s ahead: deeper relationships with our customers, value delivered on their terms, and the most active marketplace in the industries we serve.
